Seiko's latest Asia-Pacific limited edition Prospex watches bring golden moments to your wrist.
Seiko's latest regionally exclusive watch collection draws inspiration from the beauty of a coastal sunset. The brand has just released two Asia-Pacific limited edition watches: the Prospex HBB003K and HBB004K. Excluding Japan, each watch is limited to 2,500 pieces and individually numbered. Both capture the visual transition of a golden afternoon sun slowly sinking into twilight. The design of these watches is directly inspired by the coastal scenery of Asian resort destinations and follows the design of the Prospex series of dive watches—Seiko's watch series designed specifically for professional sports and diving.
To create a seaside atmosphere, Seiko has equipped both watches with a sand-textured dial—its delicate texture designed to evoke the image of a sun-drenched coastline. The HBB003K features a bright, sun-yellow dial, symbolizing the arrival of the golden hour; while the HBB004K, with its highly saturated orange dial, subtly transitions the hue to that of late afternoon. Both watches are equipped with a contrasting black unidirectional rotating diving bezel. To ensure legibility even after sunset, the large hands and applied hour markers are coated with Seiko's exclusive Lumibrite luminescent material.

Both watches feature comfortable stainless steel cases, a welcome addition for enthusiasts of modern Seiko dive watches. The new Seiko Prospex watch measures 41.7 mm in diameter and 12.3 mm in thickness, with a lug spacing of 49.5 mm, offering both robustness and ease of operation on the wrist. A screw-down crown and solid case back ensure professional-grade water resistance to 200 meters, sufficient for diving needs. Instead of sapphire crystal, the dial is made of Seiko Hardlex tempered glass, a material often used in Seiko's entry-level dive watch series due to its superior shock resistance.
The new Seiko Prospex Sea HBB004K and HBB003K watches continue the Prospex series' signature angular design language, drawing inspiration particularly from the "samurai" aesthetic. Prospex means "professional specification," and since Seiko launched Japan's first dive watch, the 62MAS, in 1965, this series has been Seiko's exclusive line for professional sports, aviation, and diving watches.
Both the HBB003K and HBB004K watches are powered by Seiko's tried-and-tested 4R35 automatic movement, renowned for its long-term reliability and ease of maintenance. This movement is also used in Seiko's recently released 145th Anniversary Edition Prospex watch, featuring a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, manual winding, a stop-seconds function, and a 41-hour power reserve. Both watches feature a cleverly integrated date display window on the dial, positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, maintaining a clean and symmetrical layout while ensuring the luminous hour markers are clearly visible and unobstructed.
Seiko has equipped both watches with a robust stainless steel bracelet with 20mm wide lugs. The bracelet features a brushed and polished finish and the brand's highly reliable triple-folding clasp system with a push-button release mechanism, ensuring a secure fit on the wrist or allowing for easy extension to accommodate a diving suit.
